تلعب المعاهد والكليات التربوية والجامعات دوراً حاسماً في تنمية ورقي المجتمعات وتجعلها قادرة على التجاوب مع متغيرات العصر، والتطورات الحادثة لكي تساهم في تقديم خدمات ثقافية ومهنية تؤهلها في عملية المنافسة الحضارية في هذا المجال مع المؤسسات المماثلة الفعالة. من هنا فإن من مؤشرات النهضة الثقافية العناية الفائقة بسبل تطوير خطط وسياسات الأقسام العلمية التابعة لتلك الجهات من أجل أن تلبي متطلبات الواقع المجتمعي وطموحاته. ولا شك أن تطوير تلك المؤسسات وفق رؤى صحيحة له انعكاساته الايجابية المرجوة في خدمة المجتمع، وإثراء الفكر، وتكوين المعلم وإعداد الكوادر التعليمية المؤهلة التي يتم إعدادها في تلك الأقسام التربوية.
يسعى القسم الموقر إلى إعداد المعلمين والاختصاصيين الذين يتميزون بالكفاءة والجودة في مجال التربية والتعليم وتدريبهم وتأهيلهم على نحو يمكنهم من ممارسة العمل التربوي في عصر المعرفة والتكنولوجيا من خلال برامج تمزج بين الجوانب النظرية والتطبيقية وتقيم توازناً بين تلبية متطلبات سوق العمل وبين الشروط الإنسانية لتنمية الذات الكويتية بمختلف جوانبها وفق معايير الجودة. يقدم قسم الأصول والإدارة التربوية في كلية التربية الأساسية مجموعة مقررات مهنية لإعداد المعلم المربي نظرياً وعملياً وذلك من خلال مقررات ذات صلة بالأصول والإدارة التربوية إضافة لمقررات معنية بالطفولة. ستستعرض هذه الصفحة خمسة عناصر رئيسة تتضمن ما يلي:

الرؤية
ريادة القسم في أن يكون وحدة تطويرية للأساتذة، ومنهجية عصرية للبرامج التعليمية، ومرجعية علمية للطلبة، ودعم متواصل من الإدارة وخدمة المجتمع.
الرسالة
يسهم قسم الأصول والادارة التربوية في إعداد الموارد البشرية المؤهلة والمتخصصة في تعزيز الدور التعليمي والبحثي وتقديم الخدمات والاستشارات في ضوء معاييره واحتياجات المجتمع وخصوصياته من جهة والمعايير الدولية من جهة أخرى.
الفلسفة
ورد في الحديث النبوي الشريف " قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِنّ الله وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ وَأَهْلَ السّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرَضِينَ حَتّى النّمْلَةَ في جُحْرِهَا وَحَتّى الْحُوتَ لَيُصَلّونَ عَلَى مُعَلّمِ النّاسِ الْخَيْرَ" (رواه الترمذي). يقول الشيخ عبدالله النوري "في الأمة شخص إذا صلح صلحت الأمة، وإذا فسد فسدت، ألا وهو المعلم، المعلم هو الدليل الذي يهدي ناشئة الأمة إلى النافع المفيد، والملاك الذي يوحي إليهم أن لعلم يرفع الأمة إلى أعلى الدرجات، وأن الجهل يهوي بها إلى أسفل الدركات، وأن من يمشي مكبا على وجهه ليس كمن يمشي سويا على صراط مستقيم" (قصة التعليم في الكويت في نصف قرن، ص 12).
إن فلسفة التربية هي التي تحدد الأهداف التفصيلية، والهدف العام للتربية في دولة الكويت هو "تهيئة الفرص المناسبة لمساعدة الأفراد على النمو الشامل المتكامل روحياً وخلقياً وفكرياً واجتماعياً وجسمياً إلى أقصى ما تسمح به استعداداتهم وإمكاناتهم في ضوء طبيعة المجتمع الكويتي وفلسفته وآماله وفي ضوء مبادئ الإسلام والتراث العربي والثقافة المعاصرة بما يكفل التوازن بين تحقيق الأفراد لذواتهم وإعدادهم للمشاركة البناءة في تقدم المجتمع الكويتي بخاصة والمجتمع العربي والعالمي عامة".
وتأسيسا على هذا الهدف العام يمكن لقسم الأصول والإدارة التربوية أن يحدد الأطر المرجعية له والمبادئ الرئيسة والقيم الكبرى وهي ركائز في مجملها مبثوثة في ثنايا الدستور الكويتي والقوانين المحلية، والاتفاقات الإقليمية، والمواثيق الدولية، والمعاهدات السياسية التي أقرتها الدولة.
الأهداف
هدف القسم المساهمة في تكوين المعلم وإعداد الكوادر التعليمية إذ يقوم قسم الأصول والإدارة التربوية بالكلية وبالتعاون والتنسيق مع الأقسام العلمية الأخرى بتحقيق الأهداف الآتية :
- تبصير الطلبة بفلسفة التربية وأصولها وروادها وتاريخها ووسائطها ومفاهيمها وأسس الإدارة التربوية التعليمية السليمة وأهمية التخطيط التربوي.
- تزويد المتعلمين بالنظريات التربوية الحديثة واتجاهاتها المتنوعة مع مراعاة الاتجاهات العالمية في حقوق الإنسان.
- إعداد معلمين ومعلمات يؤمنون بالقيم الإسلامية ويغرسونها وفق أسس تربوية سليمة.
- المساهمة في بناء العقلية العلمية القادرة على التخطيط والعمل المنتج والتنمية المستمرة.
- تأهيل الطلاب والطالبات لفهم واقع النظام التربوي في دولة الكويت تمهيدًا للالتحاق بسوق العمل ودعم المسيرة التعليمية بكل فاعلية.
- ترسيخ قيمة الحوار الايجابي في نفوس الطلاب والإيمان بالتعددية والتسامح في التعامل مع الآخرين وتوسيع نطاق الاختيار الحر المبني على تحمل المسئولية.
- المشاركة في الإعداد التربوي المهني لطلبة الخدمات التربوية المساعدة من غير المدرسين (أمناء المكتبات – مشرفو التقنيات – مشرفو صحة البيئة.. الخ (.
- المشاركة في إجراء البحوث والدراسات التربوية التي تسهم في معالجة القضايا والمشكلات التربوية داخل الكلية وخارجها.
- تدريب الطلاب على إجراء البحوث وكتابة التقارير وفق أسس موضوعية.
- تدريب الطلاب على الإلقاء الجيد، والمحاورة الجيدة وممارسة وسائل التربية وأساليب التدريس الفعال.
- الإسهام في التدريب أثناء الخدمة للعاملين في الحقل التربوي بهدف تطوير ورفع مستوياتهم الأكاديمية والمهنية وزيادة طاقاتهم الإنتاجية.
- المشاركة في خدمة المجتمع من خلال المحاضرات المشاركة في خدمة المجتمع من خلال المحاضرات تعميق إحساس الطالب بالتراث التربوي الوطني، والعربي، والإسلامي، والإنساني.

Educational institutes, colleges, and universities play a crucial role in the development and advancement of societies and make them able to respond to the changes of the times and the developments taking place in order to contribute to the provision of cultural and professional services that qualify them in the process of civilized competition in this field with similar effective institutions. From here, one of the indicators of the cultural renaissance is the excellent care for developing the plans and policies of the scientific departments affiliated with those bodies to meet the requirements and aspirations of societal reality. There is no doubt that the development of these institutions according to correct visions has its desired positive repercussions in serving the community, enriching thought, training the teacher, and preparing qualified educational cadres that are prepared in those educational departments.
The esteemed department seeks to prepare teachers and specialists who distinguished by competence and quality in the field of education, training and qualifying them in a way that enables them to practice educational work in the age of knowledge and technology through programs that mix theoretical and practical aspects and establish a balance between meeting the requirements of the labor market and the human conditions for the development of the Kuwaiti self in various aspects according to quality standards.
The Department of Educational Fundamentals and Administration at the College of Basic Education offers professional courses to prepare the educator theoretically and practically, through courses related to educational foundations and administration, in addition to courses concerned with childhood. The Vision
The department's leadership in being a developmental unit for teachers, a modern methodology for educational programs, a scientific reference for students, and continuous support from the administration and community service.
The message
The Department of Educational Fundamentals and Administration contributes to the preparation of qualified and specialized human resources in enhancing the educational and research role and providing services and consultations in the light of its standards and the needs and specificities of society on the one hand and international standards on the other hand.
The Philosophy
Stated in the honorable hadith of the Prophet, “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Indeed, God and His angels and the people of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its hole, and even the whale, send blessings upon Teach people well.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi). Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri says, “In the nation, there is a person who, if he is righteous, the nation will be reformed, and if he is corrupt, then he will be corrupted, namely, the teacher. He who walks lying flat on his face is not like one who walks together on a straight path” (The Story of Education in Kuwait in Half a Century, pg. 12).
The philosophy of education defines detailed objectives. The general objective of education in the State of Kuwait is to “create appropriate opportunities to help individuals develop comprehensive and integrated spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially and physically to the fullest extent permitted by their preparations and capabilities in the light of the nature, philosophy, and aspirations of Kuwaiti society and the light of the principles of Islam and heritage Arab and contemporary culture in a way that guarantees a balance between individuals realizing themselves and preparing them for constructive participation in the progress of Kuwaiti society in particular and the Arab and international community in general.
Based on this general goal, the Department of Educational Fundamentals and Administration can define its reference frameworks, main principles, and significant values, which are pillars in their entirety enshrined in the folds of the Kuwaiti constitution, local laws, regional agreements, international covenants, and political treaties approved by the state.
The Goals
The goal of the department is to contribute to the formation of the teacher and the preparation of educational cadres; as the Department of Fundamentals and Educational Administration in the college, cooperation, and coordination with other scientific departments achieves the following goals:
- It introduces students to the philosophy of education, its origins, pioneers, history, media, concepts, the foundations of sound educational management, and the importance of educational planning.
- Providing learners with modern educational theories and their various trends, considering global trends in human rights.
- Preparing learners who believe in Islamic values and inculcate them according to sound educational foundations.
- Contribute to building a scientific mentality capable of planning, productive work, and continuous development.
- Prepare learners to understand Kuwait's educational system's reality in preparation for joining the labor market and effectively supporting the educational process.
- Establishing the value of positive dialogue in students' hearts, the belief in pluralism and tolerance in dealing with others, and expanding the scope of free choice based on bearing responsibility.
- Prepare non-teacher learners (assistants) like (librarians - technology supervisors - environmental health supervisors ... etc.).
- Participate in research and studies that address educational issues and problems inside and outside the college.
- Training learners to conduct research and write reports.
- Training learners on good diction, good dialogue, and the practice of educational methods and effective teaching methods.
- Contribute in-service teachers to training for workers in the educational field to develop and raise their academic and professional levels and increase their productive capacities.
- Community service through lectures, the student's sense of the national, Arab, Islamic, and human educational heritage.
