This course focuses
on electric power system fundamentals and electric power generation systems,
introduction to renewable energy, types and resources. Various renewable energy
sources and operation principles such as solar energy systems, wind powered
systems, ocean tides, ocean waves, and geothermal will be presented. The
operational principles, control, economic and environmental aspects of the
renewable energy electric power generation will be discussed. Stand alone, grid-connected and hybrid
renewable energy systems will also be presented
