The Department of Environmental Health at the College of Health Sciences, PAAET, was established in 1982. Initially, the department offered a diploma in Environmental Science. After significant efforts by the department's faculty, the college, and PAAET's Curriculum Development Department, two new Bachelor programs were introduced, one in Applied Environmental Science and another in Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Safety. The primary objective of launching the Bachelor's program within the Department of Environmental Health is to enhance the labor market with highly skilled graduates in the fields of industrial health, occupational safety, and applied environmental sciences. This initiative comes in response to the pressing environmental challenges faced both domestically and globally. The department's academic offerings are particularly designed to provide students with the essential skills required to excel in various environmental sectors.
