Lieutenant Colonel Tyler D. Stubbs is the Commander of the 386th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. He leads 115 personnel, providing mission critical voice, data, and video communications to support 6500 Joint Service and Coalition personnel across three bases. The squadron enables the wing to conduct air mobility, precision strike, personnel recovery, electronic attack, and intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance operations throughout Southwest Asia.
Lieutenant Colonel Stubbs earned his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2008. He has served in a variety of leadership positions across a wide breadth of tactical, operational, and joint special forces communications specialties including Operational Communications Planner, 3rd Air Force Communications Directorate, OIC of Combat Development and Flight Commander, 1st Combat Communications Squadron, Transitions and Integrations Branch Chief, Air Force Research Lab Information Directorate, Joint Operational Communications Planner, Joint Special Operations Command Communications Directorate and Director of Operations, 709th Cyberspace Squadron.

He is currently working as a consultant in the technical office of the Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology.
He graduated from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, UK, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering. He joined the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training as a mission assistant. He completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Salford in Manchester, Britain, specializing in information technology and artificial intelligence, where he developed the popular checkers game using artificial intelligence programs. The first place in the competition of the Arab Organization for Culture and Science affiliated to the Arab League in the competition ((Great Mobile Applications)) as the best educational game and intelligence game.
