This course builds on leadership concepts, problem solving, and the change process previously introduced in 201 Foundations of Nursing and 321 Client Education. In view of the above and for moving forward the course deals with the fundamental concepts and skills for a 'beginning leadership position' in Nursing. The need and rationale for understanding theories and principles of leadership and management functions are emphasized as they relate to the achievement of organizational goals in general and in the field of Nursing, in particular.
