This course provides students with knowledge and skill to perform comprehensive health assessment. Students utilize therapeutic communication and interpersonal skills to obtain reliable and complete health history and perform basic physical examination. Critical thinking is employed to recognize normal and deviation of normal findings.  Problem solving, and decision-making skills applied in the nursing process that is culturally congruent with the client's physiological aspects (self-care behaviors), psychological, developmental, socio-cultural and spiritual variables.
