Selected theories related to growth and development from infancy to late adulthood are discussed, with emphasis on physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual and moral development within the framework of within the curriculum using Neuman's system theory, Orem's Self-care deficit theory and Leininger's theory of cultural diversity with nursing theory. Nursing interventions to promote growth and development are explored according to developmental stages.
