This course introduces students to advanced medical-surgical nursing along with psychiatric mental health nursing. This combined course explores the physiological, emotional, and behavioral reactions of clients and their families to different types of stressors. The course offers graduates with specialized knowledge and skills to provide holistic, culturally relevant and safe care for client and their families in a wide variety of medical surgical and mental health care settings. The course integrates nursing process to help clients and their families to function independently at their maximum potentials.
