Applied Physics



Applied Physics – Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

 

Within 2 – 3 years of employment, graduates are expected to:

1.     Solve problems related to the workplace through the application of their technical or scientific competence in Applied Physics.

2.     Prepare and operate equipment, devices, and experiments in a laboratory setting to perform the required tasks set out by professional practice.

3.     Effectively complete tasks as an individual or as a team member in professional practice.

4.     Conform to high professional and ethical standards set out by regulation.

5.     Communicate effectively in oral form to present findings.

 

Applied Physics – Student Outcomes (SO)

 

The SO for the Applied Physics program are:

1.     An ability to identify, formulate, and solve broadly defined technical or scientific problems by applying knowledge of mathematics and science and/or technical topics to areas relevant to the discipline.

2.     An ability to conduct experiments or test theories, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

3.     An ability to function on teams.

4.     An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

5.     An ability to communicate effectively.
