Construction, performance and cooling systems of underground cables are covered. Cable parameters; calculations of insulation resistance; cable capacitance and ampacity; electrical and thermal characteristics; methods of laying, fault location and troubleshooting; cable joints, terminations, and earthing; and safety principles are demonstrated
