1. Recognize and identify the major components of computer systems.
2. Describe the basic architectural components of a computer, and how these components inte
ract to accept input, process data, generate output, and store data.
3. Describe the two different parts of computer software i.e. system software and applications
software.
4. Introduce student to networking concepts (geographical scope, organizational structure, phy
sical topologies, communications channel, bandwidth, and protocols).
5. Describe the basic internet concepts i.e. browsing and searching (search engines).
6. Prepare student to communicate through e-mail.
7. Introduce student to different data security threats.
