​1. Develop an understanding of information systems and the system development life cycle from a business perspective. 2. Identify the information requirements analysis problem and its fundamental role in the application systems development process. 3. Review methodologies and examine tools and techniques used to analyze and design business information systems. 4. Apply techniques for fact-finding, oral and written communication, feasibility analysis, and project management. 5. Provide hands on experience, insights and team-approach in actual analysis of real-world information systems problem for application system development. 

​This course explores the tools, techniques, methodologies, and the system development life cycle used to plan, analyze, design, implement/build, and maintain computer information systems. Students will be acquainted with concepts and principles of systems analysis in an information technology environment and how they relate to standard business practices
