About the Department
The Department of Planning and Follow up was created upon the resolution no. (15 / 1989) that was established on January 7th, 1989. It was among the departments of the Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training up until the establishment of resolution no. (1 / 2008) on 1/7/2008, in which it was listed among the developments of the Planning and Development Sector.
The department sets PAAET 's vision and strategy that is derived from the vision of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, and according to the plan of the development of Kuwait with the assistance of all the concerned PAAET 's sectors. And that is to achieve the goals by following specific policies within certain time periods alongside assigning the strengths and weaknesses to execute the plans, and to evaluate the performance level through supervising the application process with specific mechanisms and procedures.
Furthermore, the department tends to manage PAAET 's future plans and also submitting proposals that goes with the policies of the state with regard to the applied education and training. In addition, supervises PAAET's development projects with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development.
Last but not least, the Department studies PAAET 's needs of future building expansions, prepares tenders and contracts and manages the design projects. In addition, prepares the Budgeting Project for the Construction Projects and Radicals Maintenance.

The Department's Accomplishments
The main accomplishments that were achieved in the previous period of the year 2015/2016 and the department's future plans:
- Preparation of the annual plans that is derived from the development's plan medium-term (2015/2016 – 2019/2020).
- Following up with the Plan of Development according to the automated system of follow up.
- Enrollment's plan in the colleges and institutions for the year 2016/2017.
- Preparation of PAAET 's annual reports of the accomplishments.
- Contacting the Statistics Central Department annually regarding the follow up of the developmental indicators for the automated system during the annual plan.
- The completion of the Developmental Plan for PAAET 's projects 2017/2018 and incorporating it in the automated system to prepare the plan for General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development.
- Submitting 2015/2016 – 2019/2020 PAAET 's strategy proposal.
- The cooperation with UNESCO.
- The cooperation with Information Technology Center to prepare the enrollment plan.
- Supervising the execution of PAAET 's Design and Construction projects and evaluating its current situation.

- Supervising the preparation of PAAET 's plans of enrolling, budgeting, scholarship, construction projects, and strategic plans.
- The preparation of PAAET 's plan project and submit it for discussion and approval.
- The preparation of the detailed program to execute PAAET 's plan to the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. Also, to prepare and supervise the periodic reports.
- To implement the required standards and models to supervise the execution of PAAET 's various plans and projects.
- To study the obstacles and problems that affects the execution of PAAET 's various plans and projects and suggesting the appropriate solutions.
- To do what is required from third parties in the studying and counseling.
- To prepare PAAET 's annual report.
- To do any work assigned by the General Director.
