About the Department

The Department of Quality and Academic Accreditation is considered one of the units affiliated to the Academic Support Services Sector, which specializes in disseminating and developing the culture of quality and embracing the latest international academic standards in PAAET’s various sectors, with the aim for these concepts to become the core work values in the whole institution.

The Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Office started its work in 7/1/2008 according to decree No. (2008/1) before changing its name to become The Quality and Academic Accreditation Department in 2019.

Since then, the department has worked hard to develop the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to be one of the distinguished higher education institutions locally and globally, in accordance with PAAET’s key role in providing the Kuwaiti society with qualified personnel to lead the construction and development process to achieve the "Kuwait Vision 2035".

QAA department seeks to establish an institutional environment that adopts the standards of quality and academic accreditation and works to achieve and sustain them through applying a comprehensive strategy to ensure the high quality of the educational process and academic programs in various sectors of PAAET. This is done by working and cooperating with quality and academic accreditation teams assigned in institutes, departments and colleges, as well as evaluating and supervising their Work. This is in addition to organizing various training courses and qualifying programs for all those who are involved. The Department has also continuously worked in partnership with international organizations specialized in the field of quality and academic accreditation and cooperated with local and international consultation bodies, in line with its constant pursuit for continuous development, excellence and leadership.

· Developing a comprehensive strategy to ensure the quality of the educational process and the academic programs in PAAET are compatible to PAAET general vision and mission.

· Accomplishing PAAET goals related to quality, academic and institutional accreditation.

· Assessing performance in order to ensure quality for all academic and administrative staff in PAAET.

· Supporting efforts to lead PAAET academically and professionally to be one of the elite regional and international educational institutions.

· Developing, promoting and disseminating the quality culture and academic and institutional accreditation practices in PAAET.

· Providing consultations, training and evaluation compliant with the latest international standards.
