The Deanship of Libraries and Technologies is part of the to the Academic Support Services Sector. It specializes in planning and organizing the services provided by the libraries and units of the educational support technologies in PAAET's colleges and institutes. In addition, it determines PAAET's annual needs of modern educational and training techniques, and provides libraries and technological units with their needs, in order to integrate their role with the educational process to maximize the effectiveness of educational and training activities.
The Deanship's Responsibilities:
- Meeting the needs of PAAET's students and employees in information and educational technology.
- The supervision of supplying all the centers of PAAET (colleges, institutes, administrations) with information resources and educational technologies and services.
- Organizing properties and equipment by internationally recognized codified systems.
- Covering and recording PAAET's conferences and lectures using automated systems.
- Supervising the performance of the Deanship and its various assistive devices.
- Submitting the estimated budgets and the annual plan to PAAET's administration.
- Making reports of programs, future plans, suggestions, and the follow up reports of the Deanship's activities and submitting them to PAAET's administration.
- Setting goals, policies, organizational and procedural regulations, and approved plans in coordination with the libraries and the deanship departments, regarding libraries and educational technologies and developing them.
- Conducting an annual inventory of libraries' possessions educational devices in PAAET's faculties, institutes, administrations.
- Supervising the automated system of the libraries, and following up its performance with the associated departments of the deanship.
