It provides programs and activities for students and trainees. The Deanship achieves its objectives through its three sectors:
- Student Activities Affairs
- Student Care Affairs
- Student Advisory Affairs
The Deanship's activities and events for students include the student elections and organizing graduation ceremonies, such as: the graduation ceremony for students with 4.00 GPA patronized by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sabah, The Basic Education College's graduation ceremony for 3.8-3.9 GPA patronized by His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, and 3.9-4.00 for other colleges, and the graduation ceremony patronized by the speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly for GPA below 3.8-3.9 for The Basic Education College and 3.9-4.00 for other colleges and institutes. Furthermore, the Deanship's offers other activities for student, like: sports, trips, scouting and camping.
The Deanship areas Responsibilities:
- Granting scholarships for foreign students according to the agreements with their countries.
- Providing different types of financial incentives:
1. Social: All students.
2. honor students: for students with 3.6average.
3. Rare majors: by the Director General's decree.
4. Student Fund: for non-Kuwaitis.
- student housing:
Males: khaitan, al-Ardiya.
Females: al-Shamiya, al-Ardiya.
- offering trips abroad and Umrah trips for honor students with 3.6 GPA and above, and for trainees in PAAET's colleges and institutes.
- Organizing orientation meetings for students at the beginning of each semester.
- Employing students in colleges at the beginning of each semester for 2 KD per hour at the rate of 10 hours per week, in coordination with the Civil Service Commission.
- Establishing scientific societies for students in colleges to improve their skills and talent.
- Making special programs and activities for people with special needs.
Student Affairs Committee:
It is a subcommittee that belongs to the Dean of Activity, and it consists of: The Dean of Activity (as a president), the concerned dean of the college/institute (as a member), and the general registrar (as a member). This subcommittee's task is to consider the following cases:
First: Re-enrolling dismissed students in colleges due to one of the following cases:
- Exceeding the permitted number of warnings regarding the student GPA.
- Excessive enrollment period in college.
- Dropping out or exceeding the permitted absence percentage during the first semester in college.
- Dropping out for two consecutive or separate semesters.
- Getting a zero GPA at the end of the first semester.
Second: students' disenrollment in colleges, and the total withdrawal from courses.
The above cases are determined by PAAET's regulations.
Students can look at all the regulations, guidelines, procedures, and the required documents that must be submitted in each of the previous cases by reading The Student Affairs Committee's regulations issued in August 1997. Students are advised to get a copy of the Committee's regulations.
In addition, students must meet the social worker on the given appointments the Student Affairs Committee in order to submit their applications in each semester.
