is an internationally trained researcher and academic with over 20 years of
teaching, research and academic management experience at graduate and post-graduate levels
in various Universities in Pakistan, Germany and Canada. He did Masters in English literature, MPhil
in International Relations from Pakistan, and later earned his doctorate in humanities from
Germany. He has been teaching English language skills, research methodology and multiple
courses in social sciences and humanities. Having worked as principal investigator and lead
researcher, he conducted multiple projects for diverse stakeholders like Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan, United States Aid Programs, German Academic Exchange Services and
non-governmental organizations in Canada. Syed is a strong communicator and strategic initiator
with effective managerial, critical thinking, problem-solving and presentation skills. With his
proven skills and demonstrated experience in tackling research projects and academic programs,
he continues to contribute in the development of grant applications, strategic policy-making,
project plans, resource management and knowledge dissemination. Furthermore, he has gained
an appreciation for diverse cultures as an empathic human being, of having lived and worked in
several countries, which translates into his strong aptitude for diversity, inclusion and social justice.
