This course covers the following topics: Fundamentals of control theory (e.g., feedback control systems, closed and open loops; block diagrams, and their components); Control modes (e.g., two positions, timed two positions, proportional, and integral/derivative control modes); Classification and required performance of control systems; Sensors and controllers for HVACR parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, humidity, flow rate, energy, lighting, noise, contamination, and level); Function and construction for sensors and controllers; Controlled devices (e.g., valves, dampers, actuators, and reversible motors); and Auxiliary control components.
