This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental principles of some of the new and advanced welding processes such as friction welding, cold-pressure welding, diffusion bonding, Ultrasonic welding, Laser beam welding, Electron beam welding, explosive welding, electro-slag welding, Thermit welding, and Underwater welding. These welding processes will be discussed with emphasis on principles and applications in industry.
