This is the third ESP course with 2 credit hours for B2 level students in the Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN). This course provides students with the vital and necessary skills to enhance the productivity in accomplishing their assigned duties and tasks efficiently. This mainly includes the use of the appropriate English language in the field of nursing. This course focuses on various crucial skills namely writing, reading, vocabulary and medical terminologies especially on medical and cardiac nursing, IV solutions, and treatments of wounds. In addition, it concentrates on enhancing and building up the communication skills for the nursing students to interact in real life social situations. Apart from that, the course is designed in assisting the students in comprehending texts and formats in the relevant field of the nursing industry, giving and receiving information in managing and performing tasks and duties as a nurse by using the proper English. Also, students are going to describe statistics using graphs and charts, write compare and contrast paragraphs using topics in the medical field.
