Metallic structure, equilibrium diagrams, “C” curves and various types of heat treatment processes will be covered. Fundamentals of phase’s transformations and binary phase diagrams, iron-iron carbide phase diagram, and principles of heat treatment of various alloys are emphasized. The students will gain practical experience in different types of heat treatment processes.
