This is one of three consecutive courses to study both theoretical and practical features of the machining operation, which is the backbone of the manufacturing technology. Technical background is given in this course regarding the general safety measures in workshop, the skills development in manipulating hand tools, as well as drawing interpretation and work layout. Fundamentals of single point tool machining are also covered by studying turning operation with applications on turning lathes.
